I'm starting a test prep business with a friend. I am currently using Wordpress to design the website, but I am totally lost. I want the webpage to look something like this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Any idea what I could do to make it of that caliber? Should I use something else?

I type all of my websites in code, so thats all I could recommend. If you want me do design you one, I'll give you an Oppo rtune special (see what I did there)!

I'm a college student. I don't think I can afford to pay for any type of contracting. Sorry. Thanks for the offer though. I really do appreciate it.

Thats cool, and sorry for the solicitation; its pretty difficult to get this freelance thing off the ground without any.

Are you familiar with Themeforest?

You need to google freeware/open source wordpress templates, and just use one of them that fits the bill. If you're trying to start a business, concentrate on what it is that the business will do, not the extras. If you had plenty of funding you could just contract the work out, but as it is it sounds like you'll want the cheapest easiest way.
Ultimately style doesn't really matter as long as it's passably neat, tidy, and smart. Content matters.

Themeforest is good, just don't make the mistake of choosing a template based on what you like , choose based on which template has the best reviews—specifically reviews about documentation and after-purchase support.
